The School of Science is composed of five departments that cover the classical science subjects of mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and earth sciences, along with two affiliated facilities— Marine Laboratory, and Laboratory for Surface Science . Each department provides a 4-year undergraduate program with small education system .

 In addition, the School of Science provides two special program courses—Multidisciplinary Science Course, in which various specialized knowledge is acquired, and a Frontier Scientist Special Course, in which students experience state-of-the-art study in each department.
