At the 71st Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry held at Okayama University Tsushima Campus from September 14 (Wed.) to 16 (Fri.), the award ceremony of the Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry was held on September 15 (Thu.) at the 50th Anniversary Memorial Hall. Professor Takashi Kaneda of our department was awarded the Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry Award for his research achievements in "Research on Separation and Detection using Lasers and Paper Devices".
The Society of Analytical Chemistry, Japan (SACJ) is an academic organization established in 1952, and with approximately 5,000 members, it is the world's largest academic society related to analytical chemistry. The Society's Award is presented to those who have conducted valuable research on analytical chemistry and are particularly outstanding, and 183 people have received the award so far.
