History and Summary of the Division
@This division (Division of Fine Powders and Surface Chemistry) was newly added to the Research Laboratory for Surface Science attached to the Faculty of Science, Okayama University on April 1, 1975, as the second research division (in the chemistry field). The main research projects performed here are to study the surface structure and properties, especially, adsorption property, of fine particles (powders) and to study the synthesis of mixed oxides and their electrical and magnetic properties. This division can accept the undergraduate students coming from the Department of Chemistry in the same faculty as well as the students in the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology (master and doctor courses).
