Aoki

AOKI GROUP : The University of Tokyo

Aoki in the physics department of the University of Tokyo envisages to exploit his theoretical expertise on the superconductivity exemplified by the iron-based, cuprate and organic superconductors to tackle the light-element materials, especially the aromatic superconductors. He also intends to apply his ideas on“materials design”for providing experimentalists with guidelines for making things more interesting in light-element materials.

Akimitsu

AKIMITSU GROUP : Aoyama Gakuin University

The goal of Aoyama-Gakuin University is to break the record of Tc in compounds formed of light elements, building on the success with MgB2. Specific objective are (1) Non-centrosymmetric materials with light element networks to controllably introduce correlation to optimize Tc. (2) Small cluster-based inorganic materials where intercluster overlap modulates the role of correlation. (3) Boron, carbon and oxygen network systems with high Tc through electron-phonon and electron-electron coupling.

Kagayama

KAGAYAMA GROUP : Osaka University

We are studying the structural and transport properties at extreme conditions of pressure to target both single-component molecular crystals and the new materials emerging from the synthetic team in LEMSUPER project, utilising in-situ combined X-ray diffraction and electrical resistance measurements.

Kubozono

KUBOZONO GROUP : Okayama University

Kubozono in Research Laboratory for Surface Science, Okayama University is working on syntheses and characterizations of aromatic hydrocarbon superconductors and carbon-based superconductors (C60, graphite and diamond). His group tries to apply various types of techniques such as chemical doping, liquid-solution method, and electric field doping to synthesize new superconductors.
