Ushimado International Workshop on Physics and Chemistry
of Novel Superconductors and Related Materials

  • Date: 8 – 10 November 2014
  • Venue: Hotel ‘Limani’ in Ushimado, Okayama Prefecture, Japan.
This workshop will address physics and chemistry of recently-discovered novel superconductors and related materials, covering materials discovery/syntheses and experimental/theoretical developments at the frontier of the research field. The materials to be discussed will range from carbon-based materials to topological superconductors. We also hope to discuss strategies for discovery and design of new superconductors with higher transition temperatures. Ushimado faces the Seto Inner Sea of Japan, on which one of the National Parks is based.
The venue of the workshop is Hotel ‘Limani’ in Ushimado (http://limani.jp).
The beginning of November is a season of Mid of Autumn in west of Japan and we expect fine whether during the period.

The workshop is co-organized by Research Center of New Functional Materials for Energy Production, Storage and Transport, Okayama University and EU-Japan Light-Element-Superconductor (LEMSUPER) Project (Strategic International Collaborative Research Program / JST and EC DG RTD).
